Offcuts Chopping Boards Archive
£125.00

This end grain chopping board is made from a blend of reclaimed maple, beech, walnut and oak—offcuts saved from an industrial door-and-window workshop. Considered too small or awkward for production, they’ve been carefully reworked into a dense, durable block. The patchwork pattern shows each species’ grain and colour, and the end grain surface is tough yet kind to knives. Built for everyday use, this board is one of a kind.

£125.00

This end-grain chopping board is made from iroko, salvaged from science lab benches during a Norfolk school refurbishment, with walnut, cherry, maple and mahogany adding contrast. Dense, stable, and kind to knife edges, it carries quiet traces of its past life. Built for everyday use, this board is one of a kind.

This end grain chopping board is made from a mix of reclaimed beech and oak. Designed for durability and daily use, each board features a unique pattern that highlights the natural character of the grain.

The oak comes from countertops salvaged from Arthur Godfrey’s butcher shop, demolished in the early 1960s to make way for the Hammersmith Flyover. The wood was stored for over 60 years before arriving in the workshop.
